Brigitte Heuser

Performing on the international stage, Brigitte debuted in Couch Opera Live's premiere episode.

A versatile singer, classically trained in opera, mezzo-soprano Brigitte Heuser is also at home on the concert stage performing songs and cabaret.  She was born in New Zealand and began her classical vocal studies there.  She went on to study in Australia and Wales. She speaks fluent English and German and is a New Zealand and German national.

Brigitte has performed opera, cabaret and has appeared on the concert stage in Germany, Norway, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, England and Wales. Her performances across Australasia and Europe include the New Zealand Opera, Opernloft Hamburg, the International Foundation for Arts and Culture in Tokyo Japan, and at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. She was a founding member of the highly successful operatic ensemble The Cast performing in large theatres right across Europe.  She has been the soloist at many special events including the Opening of the Barents Spektakkel Arts Festival in Norway and ANZAC Day commemorations in Berlin.

Brigitte gained her operatic training at the Australian Opera Studio and holds a Masters of Arts in Performance Voice from the Wales International Academy of Voice. She is now based in Perth, Australia.
