Sarah Prestwidge
Soprano

Sarah is a Pacific Opera alumni.
Sarah Prestwidge is a young aboriginal soprano that was awarded a partial scholarship to complete a Bachelor of Music (Education and Classical Voice) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Her operatic highlights include, Osmina/La Prima Conversa in Suor Angelica, Lady Ella in Patience, Purran-Murnin in Buckley, Arsena in The Gypsy Baron and Madam Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor, and Barbarina/Susanna in Le Nozze Di Figaro. She was also looking forward to performing the roles of Josephine in HMS Pinafore, and Tytania in Midsummer Night’s Dream throughout 2020.
Sarah has sung in a number of orchestral works including, Orff’s Carmina Burana as a soprano soloist and Cheetham’s Eumeralla. In 2019, she studied in an intensive program with Bel Canto Opera, Munich, which was generously sponsored by the Wagner Society NSW. Sarah has enjoyed being a Young Artist in Pacific Opera and is excited to be moving to the United Kingdom in September to study at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she has received a full ABRSM scholarship. Sarah is also the recipient of the Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship from the Australian Council for the Arts.
